Job Summary
CN is seeking an Asset Manager to join its Real Estate (Estate) team in Concord, ON. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of CN’s real estate portfolio across Central Canada.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of real estate contract law and industry practices, along with experience in a corporate real estate environment managing a large land portfolio or within a real estate law firm.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the primary contact with tenants
· Prepare real review, and negotiate real estate agreements, including leases and land sale contracts
· Administer the lease portfolio, including new, renewals, rent reviews, assignments, cancellations and environmental matters
· Review and Oversee land sale transactions, including review of site plans, surveys, titles, and encumbrances, and coordinate closings with legal counsel
· Complete all related data administration in Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and the ability to generate system reports
· Provide financial analysis for contract renewals to maximize company free cash flow revenues and contributions
· Review and process all financial expenses related to the US Real Estate portfolio
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment (hybrid schedule) with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires occasional travel (5%). Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle pressure
Requirements
Experience
Real Estate
· Between 3 to 5 years of real estate contract management experience
Experience in a corporate real estate environment with a significant land portfolio or real estate law firm*
*Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset

Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration or related experience
