Job description

Adecco is currently hiring an Assistant Track Supervisor to support railway maintenance operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising track maintenance crews, coordinating repairs, conducting track inspections, and ensuring railway infrastructure is maintained safely and efficiently.
Working closely with the Track Supervisor, you will help oversee the maintenance and repair of rails, ties, switches, ballast, and right-of-way infrastructure while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
· Location: Jasper, Alberta | Travel required within the assigned territory
· Shift: Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support track maintenance crews and daily field operations
· Inspect railway tracks and infrastructure to ensure safe operating conditions
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate track repairs and maintenance activities
· Oversee the replacement and repair of rails, ties, switches, and ballast
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
· Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits
· Investigate track issues and coordinate corrective actions
· Maintain accurate inspection records and operational reports
· Respond to emergencies, service disruptions, and other operational issues as required
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous leadership, foreperson, supervisor, or crew lead experience
· Experience in railway maintenance, construction, heavy civil, utilities, transportation, or infrastructure operations
· Strong safety mindset and problem-solving skills
· Experience working in outdoor and physically demanding environments
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Driver's License
· Basic Microsoft Office skills
· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in various weather conditions
· On-call and emergency response responsibilities
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
