As an HVAC Installation Technician with Polaron Home Comfort, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality comfort solutions for homeowners across Ontario. You’ll be responsible for installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, tankless water heaters, and related residential HVAC equipment while ensuring every project meets Polaron’s standards for workmanship, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and tankless water heaters in accordance with manufacturer standards, Ontario Building Code, B149, and TSSA/ESA regulations.
• Ensure clean, safe, and precise installations that protect customer property and require no return visits.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and customer walkthroughs upon job completion.

Documentation & Job Completion

• Submit all required installation photos, serial numbers, commissioning sheets, and completion reports via the designated platform before payment release.
• Maintain accurate, timely records to support inspection, warranty, and QA requirements.

Customer Experience

• Provide a positive and professional on‑site experience with clear communication, respectful conduct, and a polished presentation.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, thermostat setup, and maintenance basics.

Operational Coordination

• Maintain proactive communication with dispatch and Operations for scheduling, material availability, and QA checks, and job status updates.
• Address deficiencies promptly and follow corrective action timelines when required.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow all Polaron safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain valid licenses, insurance, and WSIB clearance at all times.
• Use proper PPE and tools to ensure safe job execution.

Requirements

Experience & Licensing

• Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience
• Valid G2 or G1 Gas Technician License
• ODP certification
• Working knowledge of gas fitting, venting, electrical connections, and refrigeration

Tools & Business Credentials

• Fully equipped vehicle and required HVAC trade tools
• $2M liability insurance and WSIB clearance certificate
