Job descriptionJob Title:
Senior Salesforce Enterprise Architect (Vacant Role)
What you’ll do: Slalom serves clients across a wide spectrum of delivery maturity, from traditional models to bleeding-edge AI-driven practices, and we partner with our clients in navigating the transformation that generative AI is driving in the modern enterprise. You'll lead the technical direction on Salesforce engagements that span a continuum of delivery models, from traditional consulting deliveries to Forward Deployed Engineering engagements, calibrated to each client's culture, ways of working, and transformational needs. You'll move fluidly across this continuum, and help clients build the operating model they need to thrive in a GenAI-reshaped market. Across every model, you combine strategic leadership with tactical delivery, anchored in a bias for delivering customer value. When an engagement calls for executive narrative or formal documentation, you produce it to drive strategic alignment and unlock outcomes.
Lead architecture and delivery across a portfolio of strategic-tier engagements spanning financial services, public sector, health, communications, and other industries, owning the technical direction from first call through production hardening
Mobilize, orchestrate, and lead Slalom experts from across business, industry, solutioning, and delivery disciplines on each engagement, drawing on the firm's full breadth of capability to drive innovative solutions tailored to each client's context
Lead the technical architecture across the Salesforce product portfolio and the integrated software systems it connects to, ensuring coherence across platforms, integration patterns, identity, and data flows
Architect Agentforce solutions end to end: agent topics, instructions, actions (Apex, Flow, Prompt, API, MuleSoft, Heroku via AppLink), retrieval and grounding through Data 360, prompt templates, and Einstein Trust Layer guardrails. Design for the Atlas Reasoning Engine with deterministic guardrails around non-deterministic reasoning
Model Data 360 as the grounding layer for Agentforce: data streams, identity resolution, calculated insights, data spaces, and zero-copy federation to Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift
Architect for data sovereignty: Hyperforce residency, Shield Platform Encryption with BYOK, identity and SSO design, and the regulatory frame applicable to each engagement
Apply Slalom's AI-accelerated engineering frameworks alongside industry-standard architecture frameworks, respecting Salesforce Well-Architected principles and other industry good practices, to translate ambiguous business outcomes into platform architectures that hold up under scale, regulatory pressure, and product evolution
Lead with AI tooling: Agentforce Vibes (Plan and Act modes, Claude AI), the Salesforce DX MCP Server, Code Analyzer, and AI assistants (ex: Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot) connected through APIs and MCP
Design and govern evaluation frameworks for the agents and code your team ships (precision, recall, escalation rate, hallucination rate, time-to-production)
Provide architecture governance across a portfolio of Salesforce engagements; chair architecture review boards; act as the technical sign-off authority on solution design, integration patterns, and production readiness
Shape SOWs, architecture, and pricing posture for strategic pursuits alongside our Go-to-Market and capability leaders, Client Partners, and industry experts. Author technical proposals and defend architecture in the room with senior leaders and stakeholders
Translate field signals from your engagements back into Slalom accelerators, delivery methods, and Salesforce product feedback
Coach and mentor architects, senior developers, and other delivery team members
Drive innovation and team development through our internal communities of practice, personal development, performance management, and/or other operational processes
Influence, contribute to, and operationalize our capability strategy
Build external eminence: participate in and speak at TrailblazerDX, Dreamforce, Toronto World Tour, Salesforce User Groups, and comparable forums; publish reference architectures and field finding.
What You’ll Bring:

Certification baseline: Salesforce Architect‑level certifications, Agentforce Specialist; Data 360 Consultant; Domain relevant certifications (ex: Agile, architecture frameworks, other enterprise technology platforms) a plus
Operating mode: comfort working without a playbook, on pre‑GA features, in customer environments where the right answer is not in the documentation. Equal facility moving between strategic conversations with senior leaders and stakeholders and hands‑on debugging sessions. Bias to ship
Willingness and ability to expand technical acumen beyond the Salesforce platform into other enterprise automation platforms (such as ServiceNow and Adobe), with the capacity to lead on multi‑platform enterprise initiatives where Salesforce is one component of a broader technology portfolio
