Requisition Summary
We are preparing to open the 21st PACCAR Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in the network, located in Calgary. You will have the unique opportunity to launch the PDC from the ground up and play a pivotal role in managing projects related to the opening of a new state‑of‑the‑art facility.
Location: Nose Creek Business Park, Calgary, Alberta T4A 3N7, Canada.
Starting pay: $29.27 per hour, with possible increases every six months up to $33.93 per hour.
Working hours may be scheduled as 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Candidates must be flexible and able to work either shift as needed according to organizational requirements.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
You will be part of a dynamic, essential team dedicated to distributing truck parts that keep the world moving. Within our state‑of‑the‑art distribution center, Distribution Associates are cross trained thoroughly to become efficient in all areas of distribution including:
- Receiving – Verify delivery bills and product received. Recognize and address warehouse compliance issues such as overages, shortages, damaged product, packaging issues and incorrect parts.
- Stocking – Assess quantity, size, weight and volume to stock material in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Order Picking – Process essential customer orders using the warehouse order picking software.
- Packing – Pack items in accordance with best practices to ensure products are safe and undamaged.
- Shipping – Prepare shipping documentation, weight, piece count and freight classification of all warehouse products.
Become a valuable, fully trained Distribution Associate and assist in the training of new employees beginning their PACCAR journey.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or CAEC.
- Experience operating warehouse power equipment safely.
- Basic problem‑solving, basic math and number recognition skills.
- Commitment to safety.
- Strong attendance.
- Work schedule flexibility; ability to work either shift as needed.
- Willingness to be cross‑trained and rotate through all warehouse functions as business needs dictate.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Ability to withstand heights up to 30 feet.
