Job description
Become a vital member of BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund team, focusing on transformative investments in female-led tech companies. This hybrid role enhances your skills in venture capital and financial analysis while empowering Canadian entrepreneurs.

As a VC Associate at BDC, you will engage in all aspects of investment management to support high-growth companies led by women. Your responsibilities include conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and market research to inform our investment strategies. By assisting in managing our portfolio, your work will directly contribute to funding innovative technology ventures across Canada.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct initial reviews of business plans and investment opportunities • Support due diligence on market and financial factors • Perform market research to refine investment strategy • Draft clear and concise Investment Memos for evaluations • Maintain information resources on industry trends

Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years in venture capital or related investing role • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Strong Excel skills for financial modeling • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset • Background in a technical industry is a plus
