THE ROLE We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Security Operations Centre (SOC) to lead and advance our enterprise cyber security operations. This role is accountable for people leadership, operational excellence, and strategic evolution of the SOC-spanning incident response, threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and Microsoft Defender-while expanding capabilities into cloud, identity, SaaS, data protection, insider threat, and AI‑enabled security operations. What you will lead: SOC Operations & Incident Response: Lead security monitoring and act as senior escalation authority for major incidents. People Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing SOC team. Threat Detection & Intelligence: Strengthen detection, threat hunting, and intelligence integration. Cloud, Identity & SaaS Security: Ensure strong, zero-trust-aligned coverage across modern environments. Vulnerability, Data & Insider Risk: Oversee vulnerability management and insider threat response with key partners. Microsoft Defender & Engineering: Optimize Defender and drive automation and integration. Metrics & Reporting: Provide clear, risk-based insights to senior leadership. Vendors & Tools: Manage security tools, vendors, and contracts. SOC Evolution: Advance capabilities to address emerging and AI-driven threats. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field AND several years of management experience in IM/ IT security or a related field AND Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification or equivalent, an asset Experience In end-to-end solution design and architecture In systems architecture and technical architecture and design In security audit and compliance In developing and supporting cyber and information security programs In multi-vendor network environment In multi-technology environments In routing and switching network design In network security structure design In enterprise security document creation In crisis management In personnel administration In budget administration In leading multi-discipline teams In strategic planning and developing security roadmaps In project management In creating and facilitating presentations In Key Performance Indicator (KPI), Service Level Agreement (SLA), and metrics reporting Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
