Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
This position prepares professional tender submissions for the installation of concrete and drains for the low-rise housing industry. You will be the job contact for existing and prospective builders; answering questions and successfully closing each tender. You should have a good working knowledge of the residential industry and possess exemplary English verbal communication skills.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Work independently to produce accurate estimates of materials and labour for customers
- Prepare project costing and budgets
- Support analysis and reporting using advanced Excel tools and Power Query where needed
- Communicate with customers through all stages of the estimating process from tender submission to project completion
- Solicit new customers and retain legacy customers
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience as an Estimator and/or Sales
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Power Query or other data analysis tools is an asset
- Goal-oriented with the ability to build professional, long-term relationships
- Prospecting skills for new customers
- Passion to negotiate and close deals
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills
- Exemplary English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Post-secondary college education
