We are seeking an organized and experienced Facility Technician to join our team at Crunch Canada. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure and equipment within our clubs, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and operational. The Facility Technician will perform routine maintenance, repair equipment, and ensure that the gym environment meets the highest standards for our members. This role will also support our growth at Crunch Fitness and be a part of the greatest growth story to ever be told in the fitness industry.

This is a 3-month contract position based in the Windsor region, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as Crunch continues to grow.

Position Overview:

Manage all aspects of facility maintenance for a specific region of clubs

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks in facilities including change rooms, gym floor, and equipment storage spaces. Ensure that all areas are clean, organized, and safe for members and staff.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fitness equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, weight machines, and other equipment. Ensure all equipment is in working order and coordinate the ordering of necessary replacement parts.

Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and lighting systems to ensure comfort and functionality throughout the facility. Perform minor repairs or coordinate with contractors for more complex issues.

Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including the cleaning of floors, walls, windows, and gym equipment. Ensure that sanitation standards are met, especially in high-touch areas such as locker rooms, showers, and restrooms.

Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards. Ensure that emergency exits, fire alarms, extinguishers, and first-aid supplies are in good condition and accessible. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

Act promptly to address any facility-related issues, such as plumbing leaks, electrical outages, or general wear and tear. Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Keep track of inventory for maintenance and cleaning supplies. Ensure necessary materials are stocked and organized, placing orders for restocking when needed.

Work closely with other team members, including the Facility Manager, housekeeping, and fitness trainers, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any facility-related concerns.

Interact with gym members in a courteous and professional manner when addressing facility-related concerns or repairs. Ensure minimal disruption to member experience.

Attend ongoing training and development

Review invoices and work orders from external vendors to ensure accuracy

Who You Are:

High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in facilities management or maintenance are a plus).

Proven experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or related fields, preferably in a gym or fitness environment.

Hands‑on knowledge of gym equipment maintenance and repair.

Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

Must be flexible with work hours and on‑call availability as needed.

Clean driver’s abstract.

A basic criminal background check will be required as part of the hiring process. This is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and members.
