Job Title: Electrical Tester - NightsJob DescriptionThe Electrical Tester - Nights performs a variety of electrical and mechanical tests on products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role prepares products for testing, operates and inspects test equipment, documents results, and supports overall production quality by identifying non-conforming parts and assisting with electrical and mechanical assembly as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical tests, including partial discharge (PD) testing, capacitance, resistance, and current output measurements.
- Visually inspect products prior to testing to verify conformance to standards and identify any visible defects.
- Inspect testing equipment before use to confirm proper operation and safe working condition.
- Prepare products for testing by safely making all required electrical and mechanical connections.
- Separate and clearly identify non-conforming parts based on test results and visual inspections.
- Document all testing activities, results, and findings by accurately completing production and quality forms.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Use equipment, tools, and supplies efficiently to conserve resources while achieving required job results.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets all requirements before passing it to the next operation or department.
- Provide electrical and mechanical assembly support as required based on business needs.
- Contribute to team success by training other team members in the performance of testing tasks when needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during testing and assembly activities.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or work instructions to perform testing and assembly correctly.
- Support quality assurance activities by reporting issues, following corrective actions, and adhering to quality standards.
Essential Skills- At least 1 year of experience in electrical testing.
- Knowledge of electrical components and their basic functions.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints or technical work instructions.
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform basic quality assurance tasks, including inspection and documentation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and recording test results.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations consistently.
- Reliable work history demonstrating commitment and stability in previous roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with partial discharge (PD) testing, capacitance, resistance, and current output testing.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with production forms and quality documentation.

Work Environment
This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility working alongside a team that includes machine operators, assemblers, and general support staff. You will work primarily on the night shift from 11:30 . to 7:30 ., with a paid lunch period during which you remain on site. The environment is production-focused, with regular use of electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Work involves standing, moving between workstations, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The facility follows established safety procedures and cleanliness standards to support a safe, organized, and efficient operation.
