Job description

Job Details

  • Location: Markham, ON L3S 3S7
  • Salary: 21.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
  • Shift: Morning, Day
  • Start date: As soon as possible

Work Setting

  • Room and board provided
  • Employer's home

Responsibilities

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Credentials

  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate

Experience and Specialization

  • Elderly
  • Persons with a disability

Additional Information

  • Criminal record check required
  • Physical requirements: Combination of sitting, standing, walking up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Punctuality, flexibility, organized, reliability

    • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
