The Opportunity
Our Canada Gas Maintenance Program & Planning team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business. TC Energy is seeking a Project Field Work Planner with excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain planning details for Canada Gas Operations Projects. This role supports the development and execution of project work plans that align with operational and commercial priorities. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between project teams and operational areas, ensuring that all planning and scheduling activities are executed with precision and aligned with governance
standards.

What you'll do
Develop, manage, and communicate project work plans for designated project teams.
Coordinate with operational areas to define project durations, resource needs, and commercial impacts.
Maintain and update project plans for all approved projects and analyze their effectiveness.
Collaborate with regional and area planners to ensure proper scheduling and SAP system integration.
Track and report on project metrics, including planned vs. actual performance, and suggest improvements.
Support work bundling and resource availability planning with commercial and operational teams.
Maintain project details in the Project Planning System for dashboard reporting.
Monitor and document changes in project timelines and outages, providing continuous improvement insights.
Execute responsibilities in accordance with the Work Management Governance Document.

Minimum Qualifications
Technical school graduation or associate degree
3 or more years of related experience in pipeline operations, project management and/or work planning and scheduling
Working knowledge and expertise with CMMS systems for work planning and information retrieval, specifically SAP.
Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess changing resource demands and make suitable adjustments to existing plans with limited management guidance
Superior organizational and analytical skills
Must have high level of emotional intelligence and people relations skills to effectively operate in a team-oriented environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with Field Teams and Area Leadership
Ability to coordinate work with other appropriate technical resources as needed
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Must be able to handle rapidly shifting priorities and multiple projects concurrently, requiring resolution of complex problems in stressful situations
Ability and initiative to work independently, display creativity, and exercise sound judgement
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with project management practices
Understanding of organization change management
Experience with Power Apps, power automate, Power Bi, and access
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Be subject to callouts with extended workdays/weeks as required to complete assignments or emergency support.
Travel occasionally to other company locations, which may include air travel and overnight stays.
