About the Candidate You are an experienced risk management professional with 8‑12 years’ experience in large‑scale infrastructure or capital projects. You are comfortable leading risk review sessions, driving best practices and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. You have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills and a strong technical understanding of risk management processes, including quantitative analysis techniques like Monte Carlo simulations.
The ideal candidate will coordinate project risk identification via workshops with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders predominantly with project delivery teams, other project controls SMEs, engineers and project managers.
Job Description Leadership & Oversight
Lead and manage the program/project risk management activities.
Collaborate with the Program or Risk Director to develop and maintain the program risk management strategy, aligning it with client objectives and best practices.
Risk Management Delivery
Oversee the end‑to‑end risk management process for project/program, ensuring risks are identified, analysed qualitatively and quantitatively, and mitigated effectively.
Conduct and/or oversee quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo simulations) to inform decision‑making and support project baselines.
Regularly review and update program and project risk profiles, ensuring risks are communicated effectively to key stakeholders.
Utilise Safran or other Risk Management software to facilitate risk analysis, reporting and tracking of project and program risks.
Integration & Collaboration
Integrate risk management with program/project controls, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, estimate, change control and reporting functions.
Work collaboratively with program/project teams and client representatives to identify opportunities for improvement and eliminate redundancies.
Act as the main point of contact for client and stakeholder risk management inquiries, providing clear and actionable insights.
Knowledge Sharing & Improvement
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, including training, lessons learned workshops and presentations to enhance risk awareness across the program.
Continuously improve risk management processes, tools and methodologies to reflect evolving program needs and industry advancements.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of post‑graduate experience in risk management within large infrastructure or capital projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management).
Skilled experience using industry standard software packages and applications – Active Risk Manager, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, etc.
Strong understanding of program and project controls environments, including cost, schedule and change management.
Proven ability to manage risk on programs or projects exceeding $100 M in value, preferably within the transit, infrastructure, defense aviation, infrastructure or related sectors.
Professional qualifications in risk management (PMI‑RMP, ARM or equivalent) or project management (PMP) are highly desirable.
Additional Information The base salary range for this full‑time role is
$95 000–$145 000
per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
