Full-Stack Developer using AI-Assisted Development Techniques

About the Client:
The client is a small, boutique Cybersecurity start-up company based in Calgary, Alberta. Lead by it’s innovative technology, the company performs cybersecurity compliance audits, vulnerability assessments, then provides extensive reports and remediation solutions. The technology uses elements of AI in it’s use and has been written and is being enhanced with the use of AI-assisted development.
About the Role:
We are looking for a senior Full-Stack developer with a demonstrated background of building software products from scratch. This person must have extensive expertise in both traditional programming techniques and the use of modern AI-assisted dev tools.
Deep knowledge of traditional languages such as Javascript / Typescript, HTML, CSS, node.js, next.js, python, SQL, REST APIs, kubernetes, should be combined with hands-on dev experience using AI tools such as Cloudflare, Gemini Anti Gravity, Claude (Anthropic), Shadcn, Tanstack, and others.
The client’s product is built but they are always fine-tuning and building new custom models.

This person embraces the start-up culture with the strong ability to turn ambiguity, a constant flow of ideas, imperfect systems, and unclear product needs into solid architecture, clean code, and a smoothly functional software products. This is achieved by knowing the right questions to ask, prioritizing ideas / feature requests / tasks to determine what gets built and what stays in the idea factory. This person must bring structure to the development process putting up guardrails to keep scope creep out.
Curiosity, passion, and deep technical aptitude toward implementing new AI tools and techniques is a foundation of this person’s characteristics. Someone that challenges the status quo of how things have always been done, and that enjoys automation and the use of modern AI tools to solve problems and increase efficiency.
MUST-HAVE Tools and Technologies and Experience:
Please note, this is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role in Calgary, Alberta. Base salary of approximately $140-145K plus benefits.
