Position Overview
As a Document Control Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining, verifying and processing high volumes of engineering documents with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency. This role is highly detail-oriented and task-focused, requiring extended periods of independent work reviewing, organizing, and validating records. The work requires concentration, discipline and the ability to follow established procedures precisely.
This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable performing structured, process-driven tasks with minimal supervision and limited client or cross-team interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing, verifying, and processing paper and electronic documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Support tracking, filing, and maintaining project documents, drawings and records in an organized manner
- Help upload and organize documentation in SharePoint or other document management systems, ensuring accurate metadata and consistent naming conventions
- Assist with indexing, and archiving engineering drawings and related files
- Perform routine quality checks to confirm document accuracy, formatting and compliance with established standards
- Follow established procedures and instructions to maintain consistency across all records
- Help maintain structured filing systems to support efficient document storage and retrieval
- Support document preparation and distribution as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience with data entry or administrative tasks (through coursework, co-op, internships, or part-time work) is an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in reviewing and processing information
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to established procedures and standards
- Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-focused, computer-based tasks for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain structured and consistent records
- Ability to stay focused and maintain accuracy while working independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems is an asset
- Reliable, disciplined and able to meet deadlines while completing routine tasks consistently
- Basic communication skills to support understanding of instructions and task requirements

Compensation
The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $21-24/hr, depending on skills and experience.
