The Role
We are currently seeking an Estimator with experience in construction dewatering and groundwater management to join the team.
This role is ideal for someone who can analyze technical data, interpret reports, and develop competitive, profitable bids for a range of infrastructure and construction projects.
You will play a key role in evaluating project requirements, recommending solutions, and supporting project teams from tender stage through execution.
Salary - $60,000-$70,000
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, tender documents, and specifications
- Analyze geotechnical and hydrogeological reports
- Identify dewatering and groundwater treatment requirements for projects
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and proposals
- Recommend efficient and cost-effective dewatering solutions
- Support design of dewatering, filtration, and treatment systems
- Maintain estimating databases and project documentation
- Track and follow up on awarded and unawarded bids
- Assist with pre-qualifications and tender submissions
- Conduct site visits and liaise with contractors when required
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Construction-related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in estimating, construction, dewatering, or related technical field
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction dewatering
- Bypass pumping systems
- Groundwater treatment
- Ability to interpret geotechnical/hydrogeological reports and construction plans
- Experience with estimating software (asset)
- Project management exposure (asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence
