We are looking to add a brand new role in our team at our Guelph office, a full-time permanent Mechanical Engineering Technologist! This role is in-person, and our business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The hourly compensation range for this position is $25.00 to $27.00, based on experience.
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, this role will work with both the Operations Team and the Engineering Team to support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for all Client Assets. This role will coordinate the PM program from scheduling through execution to manage customer assets, and ensure the field teams has the parts and resources needed for site. It is a role that rewards someone who is organized, mechanically minded, and takes genuine pride in building systems that work.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the Manager of Operations to establish a PM Program for all client assets.
- Manage the PM Program, including establishing the cadence of the program and coordination with engineering, scheduling, and procurement to support execution of the program.
- Develop and maintain asset management records using Envirosearch’s proprietary CMS for customer-owned equipment
- Coordinate daily with the Manager of Operations to align priorities and execution
- Review manufacturer recommendations and support on-going revisions to Operation and Management Manuals to reflect site-specific requirements
- Participate in the procurement of spare parts and consumables to ensure field Operators have what they need
- Prepare procurement estimates and support budgeting for maintenance activities
- Once the PM Program is operational, develop project management skills further through providing support for mechanical projects, including equipment replacement and system upgrades.
- Integrate seamlessly into ongoing operational workflows and support cross-functional initiatives
- Identify gaps in the maintenance program and proactively drive continuous improvement
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary engineering technologist or applied science diploma/degree program is preferred.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.
- At least one to two years of relevant experience in maintenance coordination, facilities, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Water Resources Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Environmental Protection Act, Health Protection and Promotion Act, and associated regulations considered an asset.
- Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of equipment maintenance principles.
- Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; comfortable coordinating across teams.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software or scheduling tools is an asset.
- The ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy working with numbers and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce various professional written documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and diligently with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Positive, responsible, and self-motivated with demonstrated organizational skills.
