The Manager, Commercial Operations – eCommerce Packaging is responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational execution of the eCommerce packaging business. This includes leadership over estimating, structural design coordination, sourcing, production scheduling, and customer service functions.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of sales and manufacturing, ensuring customer requirements are delivered efficiently, accurately, and profitably. The role plays a critical part in enabling sales growth, improving operational discipline, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Working closely with the VP & GM, this individual will help drive performance, scalability, and process optimization across the business.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead Commercial Operations
- Lead and develop teams across estimating, customer service, sourcing, and production scheduling
- Drive operational excellence across the full order lifecycle (quote to delivery)
Own Estimating & Pricing
- Oversee quoting activities, including complex estimates and feasibility reviews
- Ensure accuracy of costing (materials, production assumptions, etc.)
- Support pricing strategy and margin optimization
Guide Structural Design
- Review packaging concepts to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
- Manage design workflow and timelines
Manage Sourcing & Vendors
- Act as an expert in packaging materials (paperboard, alternatives, etc.)
- Negotiate pricing and manage supplier relationships
Oversee Production Planning
- Balance capacity, demand, and operational constraints through effective scheduling
- Resolve complex production and capacity challenges
