YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Cybersecurity, the Analyst is responsible for protecting clients' computer systems and sensitive data against cyber threats. They manage user requests via a support platform and detections from various tools.

It plays a vital role in detecting malicious activity and raising customer awareness of cybersecurity issues. The analyst participates in cybersecurity solution implementation projects:

Detect Threats

  • Monitor computer networks in real time to identify abnormal behavior;
  • Analyze activity logs and security alerts to identify potential intrusions;
  • Conduct in-depth malware analysis to develop effective countermeasures;

Respond to Incidents

  • Coordinate the response to security incidents by following established protocols;
  • Isolate affected parts of the network and eliminate malware.

Post-Incident Analysis

  • Collect digital evidence to understand the origin and impact of Security incidents;
  • Conduct post-incident analyses to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

Implement cybersecurity solutions

  • Regularly assess security risks and propose mitigation measures;
  • Deploy various cybersecurity tools;
  • Ensure that implemented solutions function correctly and meet standards;
  • Maintain tools and stay up-to-date;
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits and analyses based on industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO), vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.

Provide cybersecurity awareness training

  • Train Train staff on best practices in IT security;
  • Share threat information with other organizations or relevant authorities to strengthen overall security;
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness campaigns.

Conduct technology monitoring

  • Monitor trends in cyber threats and attack techniques;
  • Evaluate and recommend security tools to strengthen the organization's security posture.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • University degree in computer science with a specialization in cybersecurity or a related field, or other practical experience in security analysis and threat detection;
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security tools, operating systems, and networks;
  • Programming and malware analysis skills (an asset);
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+ (an asset) asset);
  • Excellent command of French (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of English (an asset) to communicate effectively with our English-speaking clientele
