Job Description

The Lead Structures Technician will oversee a team of up to four members or work independently as an experienced Structures Technician. This role involves managing projects with minimal supervision, assigning tasks, and ensuring the team has the necessary tools and resources. You will be responsible for making daily micro-decisions, reporting back for resources, and addressing safety issues. The position includes opportunities for travel and involves hands-on work such as repairs and modifications, particularly in avionics, skin doubles, and building mounts and racks for radio brackets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of up to four technicians or work independently.
• Run projects with minimal supervision.
• Assign tasks, tools, resources, and necessary paperwork to team members.
• Monitor and check on team progress throughout the day.
• Understand and prioritize jobs and timelines.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed for self and team.
• Make daily micro-decisions related to project management.
• Report resource needs and safety issues.
• Perform repairs and modifications, focusing on avionics supports and generic repairs.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of MRO/AMO experience.
• 10+ years of heavy modification experience.
• Experience with heavy C checks.
• Licensed AME S or M2 with structures experience
• Proficiency in English reading and writing.
• Experience with aviation structures, sheet metal, and heavy structures.

• Per Diem
• Flights covered - Fly in & Fly out rotation
• Mileage expense if not flying

Work Environment

You will be part of a team of approximately 30 people, working shifts of two weeks on and one week off. Shifts run from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with the potential for afternoon shifts as the team expands. The role includes the possibility of overtime and requires working 200 hours per month. Please note that this position is located in British Columbia on rotation from Contractor's home province from anywhere within Canada.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $75.00/hr.
