Job description

Description

  • Develop and maintain impactful, customer-focused planograms and merchandising layouts
  • Build planograms using space planning software, ensuring consistency with merchandising standards and timelines
  • Analyze product categories, customer flow, and store performance data to support merchandising decisions
  • Support category reviews through reporting, documentation, and merchandising insights
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation of merchandising initiatives
  • Monitor the effectiveness of planogram changes and identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance
  • Ensure merchandising programs support operational efficiency, inventory flow, and new product launches
  • Assist with shelving adjustments, fixture planning, and retail space allocation strategies
  • Maintain accurate reporting and ensure adherence to merchandising calendars and project timelines
  • Participate in store audits and execution reviews to ensure consistency and compliance across locations
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of merchandising processes and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail space planning, merchandising, visual presentation, or store planning
  • Experience working with space planning software such as JDA/Space Planning or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable merchandising strategies
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, category management, and merchandising principles
  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping, store flow, and traffic pattern analysis
  • Experience working collaboratively across merchandising, marketing, and operational teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Familiarity with omnichannel retail environments or experiential retail concepts is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
