The Lighting Analyst will be responsible for conducting lighting assessments, developing design plans, and ensuring that lighting systems meet energy efficiency, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements. This role requires expertise in lighting design principles, photometric analysis, and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
Lighting Assessments:
Conduct on-site assessments of existing lighting systems to evaluate energy efficiency, compliance, and performance. Lighting Design:
Develop comprehensive lighting layouts and specifications for various applications, ensuring optimal aesthetics, efficiency, and functionality. Energy Efficiency Analysis:
Recommend sustainable lighting solutions, including LED upgrades, smart lighting controls, and energy‑saving strategies. Photometric Calculations:
Utilize software to perform photometric analysis and ensure proper illumination levels. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure lighting designs adhere to local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards such as ASHRAE, IES, and LEED. Project Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to implement lighting solutions. Proposal Development:
Prepare reports, design presentations, and cost‑benefit analyses for clients. Technology Integration:
Stay updated on emerging lighting technologies and trends to enhance project outcomes. Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 1‑3 years of experience in lighting design, assessments, or energy efficacy consulting. Proficiency in lighting design software such as AGi32, or Revit. Strong understanding of photometric analysis, lighting calculations, and energy assessments. Knowledge of LED technology, smart lighting controls, and sustainability practices. Familiarity with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and lighting regulations. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Certification such as LC (Lighting Certified) or LEED accreditation is a plus.
