Continental Rotation
Schedule Example This position follows a continental rotation schedule with a combination of 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, and entrances/exits.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems; report suspicious activity immediately.
Control access points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, security threats) and assist during crises and evacuations.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff while ensuring policy compliance.
De‑escalate conflicts and handle tense situations professionally.
Complete accurate daily reports, including incidents and security concerns.
Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement to maintain safety.
Enforce hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols.
Prerequisites
Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (CSA‑approved)
Tuberculosis (TB) screening
Proof of full childhood/primary vaccinations
One adult dose of Tdap (age 18+)
Tdap booster required every 10 years
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
English fluency (oral and written)
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred
Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification required
Applicants without UOF/MOAB may enroll in Paladin’s UOF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements.
