Job description
Our client, a globally recognized premium outdoor apparel and retail brand, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager, RFID to lead the end-to-end delivery of retail technology implementations across their growing store network.

This is not a purely technical delivery role. Success requires a strong project management background with deep experience leading multi-site retail systems implementations. You must understand store operations, change impact, and field execution, and be able to bridge the gap between technology, operations, distribution centers, finance, and asset protection. Your work will directly power inventory accuracy, loss prevention, and a frictionless in-store experience.

Location: North Vancouver, BC (Hybrid Remote)

Position Type: 6-Month Contract

Eligibility: Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Advantages
Premium Brand Exposure: Work with a world-class, highly respected global retail brand known for innovation and quality.

Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy a balanced work environment with hybrid remote options based out of a beautiful North Vancouver office.

High-Impact Ownership: Lead a high-visibility, business-critical technology initiative from pilot phase to full-scale rollout.

Collaborative Culture: Join a passionate, outdoor-minded, and supportive team environment that values continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking.

Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, RFID, your core activities will include:

Project Governance: Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including charters, requirements, deployment plans, status reports, and post-launch reviews.

Deployment & Execution: Lead the pilot, phased rollout, and full-scale deployment of RFID across retail stores. Own site readiness, hardware installation, system integration, cutover planning, and go-live execution.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive alignment across IT, Retail Operations, Merchandising, and Loss Prevention to ensure solutions work seamlessly in real store environments.

Change & Field Management: Partner with Retail Ops to minimize disruption to daily operations, and coordinate field engagement (Store Managers, Regional Managers, SMEs) to support successful adoption.

Vendor & Risk Management: Manage vendor delivery performance against contracted scope, milestones, and SLAs. Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks with recommended solutions.

Strategic Judgment: Balance trade-offs across cost, timeline, and risk while maintaining clear, executive-level communication.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in project or program management, ideally within retail technology or supply chain.

Retail Scaling: Proven track record leading end-to-end, multi-store, or multi-region retail systems implementations at scale (e.g., RFID, POS, inventory management, WFM).

Operational Savvy: Deep understanding of store operations, retail workflows, and managing complex implementations involving both physical (hardware) and digital components.

Communication & Influence: Ability to comfortably navigate technical conversations with IT/vendors and translate those outcomes into business terms for retail stakeholders.

Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying root causes, developing pragmatic/scalable solutions, and navigating ambiguity with flexibility.

Cultural Fit: A passion for collaboration, continuous improvement, and an active lifestyle that aligns with an outdoor-centric brand culture.

Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with RFID systems, including EPC/Gen2 standards, reader infrastructure, middleware, and inventory management integration.

Summary
If you are an adaptable, proactive Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of retail operations and hardware/software deployment, this is your opportunity to leave a lasting impact on a global retail network. Ensure your application highlights your multi-site deployment experience and your knack for cross-functional leadership.
