Job description
Adecco est actuellement à la recherche d'un(e) Comptable principal(e) - Paie à temps plein pour un contrat de 6 mois afin de soutenir les opérations de paie au Canada et aux États-Unis. Ce poste convient parfaitement à un(e) professionnel(le) expérimenté(e) de la paie possédant une solide expertise en comptabilité et capable d'évoluer dans un environnement rapide, axé sur les échéanciers.
Dans ce rôle, vous fournirez un soutien spécialisé en comptabilité de la paie et en conformité, en assurant le traitement exact et ponctuel de la paie pour les employés syndiqués et non syndiqués. Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la production de rapports financiers, la conformité réglementaire et l'amélioration continue des processus de paie.

Responsabilités
Traitement et exécution de la paie
  • Gérer le traitement complet de la paie au Canada et aux États-Unis, incluant les cycles hors paie et les paiements spéciaux
  • Valider les entrées de temps, les gains et les déductions afin d'assurer l'exactitude des données
  • Enquêter et résoudre les problèmes de paie des employés, y compris les trop-payés et leur recouvrement
  • Assurer l'intégration exacte des données entre les systèmes de temps et de paie
Déductions et gestion des fournisseurs
  • Effectuer les calculs de paie du brut au net et gérer les remises à des tiers
  • Assurer les paiements en temps opportun aux autorités fiscales et aux fournisseurs
  • Gérer les remises liées aux avantages sociaux, aux régimes de retraite et aux REER collectifs (401(k)) et produire les rapports requis
  • Maintenir les dossiers des déductions des employés et assurer la conformité réglementaire
Rapports, conformité et audit
  • Préparer des rapports liés à la paie et des analyses ponctuelles pour les parties prenantes
  • Assurer la conformité avec les lois et règlements en matière de paie au Canada et aux États-Unis
  • Effectuer des rapprochements du grand livre et des analyses financières
  • Soutenir les processus de fin d'année, incluant les feuillets fiscaux et les déclarations
  • Coordonner les audits et mettre en place des contrôles pour assurer l'exactitude de la paie
  • Identifier des opportunités d'amélioration des systèmes, des rapports et des processus
Qualifications et compétences
  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité
  • Certification en paie (PCP ou PLP)
  • Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience progressive en paie et en comptabilité
  • Solide connaissance des lois et règlements de la paie au Canada et aux États-Unis
  • Expérience avec SAP (modules RH, paie et temps)
  • Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Excel et de la suite Office
  • Excellentes compétences analytiques, de résolution de problèmes et de communication
  • Capacité à respecter des échéanciers serrés dans un environnement sous pression
  • Bilinguisme (français/anglais) requis*
  • Doit être légalement autorisé(e) à travailler et à résider au Canada
* Cet emploi nécessite d'être en contact régulier avec des partenaires situés hors Québec, la maîtrise de la langue anglaise est donc exigée.

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Payroll Accountant for a 6-month contract to support Canadian and U.S. payroll operations. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with strong accounting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
In this position, you will deliver specialized payroll accounting and compliance support, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both unionized and management employees. You will play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of payroll processes.

Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing & Execution
  • Manage end-to-end Canadian and U.S. payroll processing, including off-cycle runs and special payments
  • Validate time entries, earnings, and deductions, ensuring accuracy across systems
  • Investigate and resolve employee pay issues, including overpayments and recoveries
  • Ensure accurate data integration between time and payroll systems
Deductions & Vendor Management
  • Perform payroll gross-to-net calculations and manage third-party remittances
  • Ensure timely payments to tax authorities and vendors
  • Manage benefits, pension, and 401(k) remittances and reporting
  • Maintain employee deduction records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Reporting, Compliance & Audits
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and ad hoc analysis for stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Support year-end processes, including tax slips and filings
  • Coordinate audits and implement controls to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and processes
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting
· Payroll certifications such as PCP or PLP
· Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll and accounting experience
· Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll regulations and taxation
· Experience with SAP (HR, Payroll, and Time modules)
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Ability to manage tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
· Bilingualism (English/French) is required
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
