Job description
Elevate your estimating career with Tomlinson as a Senior Estimator, focusing on infrastructure projects in Ottawa. This leadership role emphasizes tender preparation, client relationships, and mentoring junior staff.

Tomlinson is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to apply expertise in infrastructure and estimating. Your role will involve preparing competitive tenders, supporting project execution, and enhancing estimating processes. Collaborate with construction, project administration, and accounting teams to ensure precise costing and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare cost estimates for tenders and obtain documents • Communicate with sub-contractors for pricing and clarifications • Perform quantity calculations and 2D/3D digital take-offs • Liaise with clients, engineers, and internal teams for project specs • Provide project management support, including contract negotiations

Requirements: • Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience • 15+ years of infrastructure experience • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimation software • Experience in mentoring junior staff • Adept in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
