Job description

The Big Picture: Build Your Future with a Company on the Rise

Insight Pest Solutions is one of the fastest growing residential home service companies in Canada, and we’re just getting started. With that growth comes real opportunity for driven, self motivated individuals who want more than just a job. We’re looking for people ready to grow their careers alongside a company expanding across the country and into new markets.

As a Seasonal Junior Technician, you’re not just providing a service, you’re building trust. You’re the face of the company in our customers’ homes, delivering expertise, professionalism, and peace of mind. From identifying pest issues to recommending effective solutions, your work ensures homeowners feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

We’re a company that’s always evolving. Through ongoing research and development, we continue to advance environmentally conscious products, safer methodologies, and smarter service delivery. Our seasonal prevention and home-maintenance programs help protect homes from mosquitoes, ants, wasps, ticks, spiders, and mice, and we’re constantly raising the bar on what great service looks like.

Looking for a summer job that pays well and keeps you active?

Insight Pest Solutions is hiring Seasonal Junior Technicians in Vancouver, BC. This is a great opportunity to earn solid income, gain hands-on experience, and spend your summer working outdoors in one of Canada’s most energetic cities.

If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and staying active throughout the day, this role offers the chance to build valuable skills while helping homeowners solve real problems.

Position: Seasonal Junior Technician

Location: Vancouver, BC

Job Type: Seasonal (End Date: August 31, 2026, with potential for extension)

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities

The Role: Your Mission

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Inspect homes inside and out to identify pests, entry points, and infestations
  • Assist in diagnosing pest issues and applying effective treatments
  • Complete service reports for work performed and products used
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions
  • Educate homeowners and recommend solutions to prevent future pest issues
  • Build strong relationships with customers while representing Insight professionally

(And don’t worry — no cockroaches, no bed bugs, and no ladder work.)

Why Join Insight Pest Solutions?

  • Competitive pay
  • Company vehicle + gas card (you roll in style; we cover the fuel)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Tight routes with short drive times
  • Full-time hours (40/week) + overtime opportunities
  • Commission on new business + performance bonuses
  • No on-call shifts • Real growth opportunities — we promote from within
  • Supportive, high-energy team culture
  • Spend your summer working outdoors and enjoying the warm weather

What We’re Looking For

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Reliable with strong communication skills
  • Someone who takes pride in their work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relationships
  • Quick thinker who enjoys problem-solving

We’ll help you obtain your Pesticide Applicator License, including training materials, study support, and assistance registering for the exam.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs of equipment
  • Comfortable working in different environments (crawl spaces, damp or dusty spots)
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good people skills
  • Pesticide Applicator License (We will help you obtain this, provide you training material, help you study, and apply for the exam)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
  • Desire to learn, grow, and be part of a solid team
  • Interest in pest control or learning a skilled trade

Important: Prior to starting, successful candidates must complete their licensing exam and required training.

Bottom Line: If you want a job where you’re out in the field, part of a strong crew, treated well, and have room to grow, this is it. You’ll stay active, meet great customers, and go home each day knowing you solved real problems.
