Instructional Designer

We are seeking a creative and highly skilled Instructional Designer I / 3D Learning Experience Designer on behalf of our client, a global leader in public safety and enterprise security solutions. This unique role bridges the gap between technical instructional design and advanced 3D animation.

In this position, you will design and develop high-quality, immersive installation and training videos for industry-leading security camera brands (including Avigilon, Pelco, and MSI). Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Immersive Design: Create visually engaging online training videos that explain complex technical concepts, product features, and physical device installation processes.

3D Simulation: Develop realistic, highly accurate 3D simulations of installation workflows, demonstrating proper techniques and troubleshooting potential challenges.

Video Production: Edit and assemble video footage, animations, and graphics using Adobe Premiere Pro to produce professional-grade instructional content.

Motion Graphics: Utilize Adobe After Effects to design and implement motion graphics, visual effects, and dynamic text overlays to maximize learner engagement.

Instructional Methodology: Apply instructional design frameworks to ensure all video content is educationally effective, accessible, inclusive, and aligned with broader business goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), technical writers, and engineers to ensure absolute technical accuracy.

Project & Asset Management: Take end-to-end ownership of projects from inception to completion, managing your own timelines, maintaining video assets, and ensuring strict brand consistency.

AI Integration: Actively integrate generative AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Adobe Firefly) into design processes to accelerate production timelines.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications
Education & Experience
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (such as Visual Communications Design, Instructional Design, Industrial Design, or 3D Animation).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional multimedia design experience, specifically focusing on 3D product visualization, animation, modeling, and video editing—ideally within a technical or instructional content environment.

Portfolio Requirement: A portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant 3D animation, modeling, and video editing work is required for consideration.

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
3D Modeling & Animation: Demonstrated expertise in Blender for modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering (experience with Maya, SolidWorks, 3DS Max, or Rhinoceros 3D is also highly valued).

Adobe Creative Cloud: Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Video Production: Strong understanding of end-to-end production workflows (pre-production scripting, production, and post-production).

AI Tools: Demonstrated interest and experience utilizing generative AI tools in content development or delivery.
