Role Description The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing Manager in executing marketing activities to elevate the Bower Place brand, raise awareness, and increase traffic to the Centre. The Coordinator will support event planning and execution, website content creation and management, and coordinate Bower Place’s social media platforms.
Responsibilities
Prepare and uphold the editorial calendar for the website, coordinating with the Marketing Manager.
Track and report interactive website activities.
Manage and elevate social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
Create and edit photos and videos for social media.
Develop social media plans for day‑to‑day and seasonal campaigns.
Strategize and implement digital advertising campaigns.
Track and report social media metrics.
Plan and execute special events, including concept development, timelines, sponsorships, vendor coordination, and insurance paperwork.
Prepare event post‑mortem reports and debriefs.
Handle marketing‑related invoices and quarterly reconciliation.
Write, edit, and proofread marketing materials such as newsletters and memos.
Coordinate with operations and tenants to manage hoarding and signage.
Contribute to marketing strategy meetings and retailer engagements.
Manage non‑profit requests and necessary documentation.
Maintain storage unit inventory and communicate hoarding specifications to new retailers.
Provide ongoing contributions to the marketing manual and other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in marketing, social media, and/or event coordination.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, or related discipline (asset).
Proven social media management skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Strong prioritization, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
Adaptability to ambiguity and changing priorities.
Self‑starter who can independently initiate and complete projects.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and meeting deadlines.
Adobe InDesign experience (asset).
