Responsibilities
- Maintain and support building systems, including HVAC, generators, electrical, plumbing, security/access, and UPS systems
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day contracted services (e.g., custodial, security, landscaping, snow removal, and trades)
- Lead and direct the work of the internal maintenance team
- Create and maintain records to track maintenance, repairs, and work orders
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
- Support preventative maintenance planning and lifecycle forecasting
- Ensure completion and documentation of life safety inspections and checklists
- Lead daily safety meetings and support emergency response activities, including fire drills and evacuations
- Coordinate and support services related to parking, signage, shared spaces, cleanliness, and event logistics
- Monitor and support furniture planning, acquisition, and installation
- Manage small projects and renovations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure service delivery meets required standards
- Identify deficiencies and recommend improvements to property operations
Qualifications
- Trade certificate with 3+ years of related experience, or a technical diploma in a related field
- Experience in facility coordination, project management, or property management
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, building systems, and applicable codes and legislation
- Experience supporting preventative maintenance programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
- Supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Professional designations such as BOMI, RPA, or FMA are considered an asset
