Job description
GEM Health Care Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Care to lead nursing efforts in Nova Scotia. This key position emphasizes quality care, training, and compliance within our facilities.

In this role, you will partner with the Director of Care to support the nursing staff in delivering high quality service to residents. Your responsibilities will include training development, attendance records, and managing essential supplies for optimal care delivery. With a strong focus on infection control and nursing resources, you'll play a crucial role in resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist nursing staff and improve care quality • Identify and fulfill educational needs for personnel • Track nursing staff attendance at training sessions • Coordinate supply inventory and purchasing needs • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols

Requirements: • Current Nova Scotia College of Nursing registration • Nursing degree is a plus • 5+ years' experience in long-term care • Competent in Microsoft applications • Background in nursing management and education
