Job description
Position: Board Certified CardiologistVeterinary Specialty Center of Newfoundland and LabradorMount Pearl Newfoundland and LabradorThe Veterinary Specialty Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador is the provinces only specialty referral center and full-service emergency hospital. It was originally founded to make sure that no pet owner would have to leave the province to get the proper care their pet have the only board-certified radiologist in the province regular locum board-certified surgeons a CT scanner as well as an MRI machine. We run a canine blood donor program and have the only ICU that is fully staffed 24 hours a day Sunday Thursday. When it comes to diagnosing and treating the pets of Newfoundland and Labrador there is nothing we cant do!Through our comprehensive approach we are able to provide the opportunity to practice gold standard medicine. As an emergency and referral hospital our emergency department handles an exciting and diverse caseload inspiring lifelong learning and growth. We are a hospital that cares strongly for our patients. Our motto is: expert care close to home!We are seeking a passionate and skilled Board Certified Cardiologist to join our exceptional team. Candidates who are completing their residency and are or will be board eligible are welcome to apply. Support will be provided to properly prepare for board exams. This person is self-motivated confident in their medical abilities and able to collaborate with other doctors as needed. The successful candidate will share our philosophy that success lies at the intersection of excellent patient care dedicated client service and a positive collaborative team YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Board Certification or board eligible Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador Passion for what you do every day Enthusiasm energy and a positive attitude are a must A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients Excellent communication skills both when dealing with clients and team members.
