Job description
Join a leading gold mining operation in Northwestern Ontario as a Cost Analyst. Contribute financial expertise through data analysis, reporting, and strategic budget forecasting for a significant growth project.

The Cost Analyst will report to the Controller, analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive forecasts, budgets, and performance reports. This role aims to support mining operations with strategic recommendations that enhance financial efficiency. Familiarity with mining industry financial practices and strong analysis skills are critical for driving cost-saving initiatives and optimizing budget allocations.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop annual budgets with operational managers • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify variances • Analyze mining costs for efficiency improvements • Prepare and present financial reports to management • Manage financial databases for accurate reporting

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline • Experience as a Cost Analyst in mining or construction • Knowledge of SAP processes and cost accounting • Strong analytical and collaboration skills • Commitment to financial accuracy
