About The Role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Temporary Full‑Time Lead Analyst – Collections
to join the
Collections, Strategy & Integration
team.
The Lead Analyst partners with business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, data‑driven insights that support strategic decision‑making across Collections. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Planning & Business Integration, this role leverages expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and customer analytics, while leading reporting, dashboard development, and data governance. The position requires strong collaboration, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to excellent stakeholder service.
Formula for Success
Partner with business leaders to deliver strategic analytics that inform decision‑making across the integrated supply chain. Serve as a subject‑matter expert across multiple analytics domains, promote best practices, mentor team members and communicate tailored insights effectively.
Perform statistical analyses to support a range of business and cross‑functional initiatives, contribute to business intelligence roadmaps and strategic planning, and represent the collections division on enterprise projects.
Support data governance and data‑quality initiatives, ensuring changes are effectively communicated and reflected across KPIs, metrics, reports, and analyses. Proactively identify and address data gaps, collaborate with IT and stakeholders to resolve data availability challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
Lead reporting and analysis for the Collections division for short‑ and long‑term strategic plans and throughout the integrated business planning process.
Support the division’s portfolio of key initiatives, including intake support, delivery support, risk/issue management, and benefit realization.
Desired Education and Skills
Post‑secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution; a university degree in business, mathematics, analytics or computer science is preferred.
5–7 years of experience in data/information management and statistical analysis.
Extensive knowledge of database management, data architecture, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and web‑based technology.
Experience with SAP BIW, Microsoft Azure or equivalent.
APICS/CPIM certification and understanding of lean manufacturing concepts are assets.
Excellent team‑building and leadership skills; proven ability to build trust and relationships.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills; proven ability to provide sound independent guidance to a business unit’s leadership.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
Superior analytical skills and advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and data‑modeling tools.
Advanced ability to present and communicate information and technical training in group settings to a wide and diverse audience.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
