The Top Prospects internship program is designed to give university students in their final year of study or recent university graduates an immersive eight‑month look at what it is like to work in the professional sports industry while gaining valuable hands‑on experience. Once scouting is complete this off‑season, our rookies will join the team for training camp starting on September 1, 2026, and will conclude their terms on April 30, 2027 (dates are subject to change). All internships are onsite at our office, right next to Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver. Business Intelligence
Our Business Intelligence (BI) team works closely with the ticketing, marketing, and partnership departments. They are responsible for developing reports, analysing results, providing CRM support, and delivering data‑driven recommendations. Example projects include managing and tracking ticket inventory, survey planning and execution, and fan insight reports. Experience with Excel, SQL, and Python is required for the BI internship. Communications
The Communications department supports all Canucks Sports & Entertainment communications efforts, leading media relations, coordinating interview requests, and ensuring consistent messaging across our teams and business operations. Communications interns support activities such as setting up media areas on game days, monitoring daily media coverage, compiling statistical and historical information, creating and distributing media credentials, and contributing to the production of materials such as game day lineups and media guides. Interns are expected to work game nights as needed and must demonstrate strong written communication skills. Community Engagement & Social Impact
The Community Engagement & Social Impact team connects and engages with fans, collaborating with initiatives such as the Canucks for Kids Fund, the Canucks Autism Network, and the Canucks Family Education Centre. They participate in community events and manage minor hockey programs at Rogers Arena and the donation‑in‑kind program. Interns support Tickets for Kids, Fan Mail, and Fin’s Friends programs and will be required to work community events, game nights and weekends as needed. Experience with Excel is required; the ability to skate is an asset. Content
The Content team works closely with Marketing to develop content for our website and social media. The Content Intern will assist with shooting video at events and practices, editing features for social media, recording team media availabilities, and acting as a production assistant on shoots. Applicants must have experience with Sony cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere or Final Cut/DaVinci) and should submit a PDF or link to their portfolio. The internship requires game‑night work and support of the Abbotsford Canucks and Vancouver Warriors. Event Services
The Event Services intern manages the planning, execution, and management of small events at Rogers Arena, preparing documentation, reviewing event reports, and following up on action items. They may also shadow Event Managers on large‑scale events such as games and concerts. The internship requires work on event nights and weekends and starts in August 2026. Fan Services
The Fan Services Intern assists with arena tours, the Canucks Kids Club, event services planning and marketing projects, and handling fan inquiries by phone, email, and in‑person. Work on event nights and weekends is required; the internship begins in August 2026. Finance
The Finance Intern shadows senior Finance staff and supports tasks such as processing invoices, verifying expense reports, updating balance sheet reconciliation papers, and completing bank reconciliations. Graphic Design
The Design Intern collaborates with Creative and Marketing to create ad designs, version out assets, and prepare files. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud is required, and applicants must submit a link to an online portfolio; only those with an online portfolio are considered. Information Technology
The IT Intern assists with equipping new employees, monitoring computer equipment inventory, and providing first‑level support to staff on hardware and software issues. The intern will also contribute to special IT projects and must work event nights as needed. Marketing
The Marketing Intern supports marketing campaign development and execution for the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Abbotsford Canucks. They track project progress on Wrike, execute event emails, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver project objectives and support the company’s other business units. Partnership Marketing
The Partnership Marketing Intern assists with partner activations, setting up and tearing down activation equipment on event days (including digital activations, in‑market contests, and signage), building partner reports, coordinating departmental events, and working game nights as needed. People & Scheduling
The People Intern participates in the full recruitment and onboarding cycle for new event staff and supports HR initiatives such as HR systems administration, payroll, and employee engagement. They also support large‑scale staff scheduling, including availability updates, time‑off requests, deployment changes, and uniform distribution. This internship begins in August and requires work at events. Premium Hospitality
The Premium Hospitality Intern supports executive suites, club, restaurant, and catering operations, managing staffing, reservations, sales reporting, inventory, revenue management, event readiness, and on‑floor duties. They provide support that contributes to exceptional guest experiences and must work event nights and weekends as needed. Premium Sales & Experience
The Premium Sales & Experience Intern learns about sales prospecting, assists with sales forecasting reports, game‑day reporting, and preparation, and helps improve premium membership experience through event planning, fulfilling member benefits, and project management of departmental projects. The internship requires work at event nights and weekends. Quick Service Hospitality
The Quick Service Intern handles food and beverage operations on the concourses of Rogers Arena, including food stands, bars, kiosks, and hawking operations. They assist with event operations, HR tasks such as interviewing and onboarding part‑time staff, streamlining processes, updating menu boards, IT programming, and sales reporting. The internship requires work at events and weekends. Social Media
The Social Media Intern assists in creating content for all CSE brand platforms, engages fans, implements trends, creates analytics reports, and attends team events. Applicants must have experience using social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere). The internship requires work on game nights and weekends. The Sportsbar
The Sportsbar Intern, part of Premium Hospitality, gains experience in restaurant operations and management, hiring and training staff, event planning, food and beverage operations, event setup, revenue building, daily administration, and content creation/social media strategy for The Sportsbar. Applicants need experience with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Capcut. The role requires weekly availability at all arena events and starts in August. Ticket Centre
The Ticket Centre Intern assists daily Ticket Centre operations and supports the Membership Experience team. Responsibilities include using Ticketmaster systems, supporting Ticket Centre staff, and maintaining customer service standards. The intern handles fan inquiries by phone, email, and walk‑ups and must work event nights and weekends. Required Experience And Qualifications
