We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to staff and guests, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, and assisting the IT Manager with various tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
Be true to the mission statements of the Inn. Constantly ensure that the “5 C” standards of Relais & Chateaux, Forbes, AAA standards and Wickaninnish Inn service philosophies are followed.
Provide timely and effective technical support to staff and guests, addressing issues related to hardware, software, networks and other IT systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Assist with the maintenance and updating of the resort’s IT systems, including computers, servers, and network equipment.
Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Assist staff with the setup and use of IT equipment and software applications.
Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for using IT systems securely and efficiently.
Log and track IT incidents and requests using the resort’s helpdesk system.
Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or external service providers as necessary.
Assist in managing IT inventory, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Ensure that all IT equipment is properly accounted for and maintained.
Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
Assist in developing and updating IT standards, procedures, and user guides.

Exemplary guest service skills and demonstrated enthusiasm and talent for exceeding guest expectations.
An Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
A strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and cybersecurity concepts.
Knowledge of programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and experience with the Laravel framework and LAMP (an asset).
Knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls, VPNs and Cisco switching technologies.
Experience with virtualization technologies including Linux KVM.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 hybrid environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.
Salary / Wage Salary/Wage:
$22.00 per hour
