Job description

About the Role

  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for all art and assets production deliverables.
  • Review visual assets including layout, typography, imagery, and file integrity.
  • Translate creative direction into precise, production-ready requirements for both print and digital channels.
  • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and channel specifications.
  • Create, manage, and maintain production timelines, delivery schedules, and resourcing plans.
  • Prioritize incoming work based on deadlines, complexity, capacity, and strategic importance.
  • Monitor workflow bottlenecks and proactively escalate issues to Creative Leadership.
  • Ensure continuity across teams through clear documentation, version control, and organized file structures.
  • Partner with Designers, Editorial, Content Strategy, Marketing Leads, Social, and Web Publishing to align creative intent with production execution.
  • Execute mechanical builds, retouching, resizing, layout refinements, and production file preparation when needed.
  • Resolve production issues (color, formatting, structure, compression, accessibility, etc.) with strong creative technical judgment.
  • Provide strong day-to-day leadership for the production artists team through mentoring and constructive feedback cultivating a collaborative, positive and solutions-driven culture.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of production staff in tools, workflows, and brand standards.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5 - 8+ years of experience in creative production, art production, studio management, or agency operations.
  • Proven ability to review, refine, and deliver high‑volume creative assets in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising production teams or studio workflows.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Strong understanding of digital and print production, including mechanical builds, prepress, file structure, responsive design, and asset delivery.
  • Working knowledge of workflow management tools (e.g., Trello, Figma, Workfront).
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot design, layout, and production issues with precision.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems, creative guidelines, accessibility standards, and channel requirements.
  • Familiarity with DAM systems and structured asset workflows.
