About the role
TheSecurity Guard – Lead Hand is a new role, which offers an exceptional opportunity to monitor and enforce security protocol of all personnel; supervise Security Guards to ensure personnel, property, assets, and company information are protected and generate, maintain, and oversee consistent effective enforcement of all applicable policies and procedures; immediately address situations of non-compliance.
The position will be on a 7/7 (12 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.
We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $56, to $76, CAD.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Conduct investigations as deemed necessary.
- Supervise screening of all persons, vehicles and materials entering and exiting the site.
- Ensure security team members are effectively patrolling the property for fire, flood, and unusual incidents.
- Oversee Security personnel to ensure that assigned tasks and projects are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Oversee installation, maintenance and use of plant security systems and alarms.
- Remain current in applicable processes of gold production and ensure it is properly communicated to security staff.
- Act as Security Supervisor occasionally, and assist with responsibilities, as required.
- Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
- Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About you
As a Lead Hand - Security, you will hold an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma and PSISA-certified, with valid Security Guard license. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in security or law enforcement, or possess a military background, and relevant leadership training and experience. You will also:
- Hold a current Advanced First Aid/medical First Responder, First Aid & CPR, and AED certificate
- Certified in Drug & Alcohol testing methods and procedures
- Current WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate
- Valid Class G driver’s license
