Brandon Live Events Technical Director

Take charge of live technical operations at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in Brandon, MB, as a Technical Director. This role focuses on delivering exceptional live events through strong leadership.

Brandon Centennial Auditorium Corporation Inc. is searching for a dedicated Technical Director to oversee the technical delivery for various live performances. You will translate technical needs into staffing plans while supervising a team of technicians. The role includes maintaining venue standards and prioritizing safety in all aspects of the operation, with hands-on and leadership tasks expected.

Key Responsibilities: • Advance event performances with detailed staffing execution plans • Supervise the Senior Theatre Technician and a casual crew • Oversee rehearsals, load-ins, and performance changeovers • Maintain readiness of lighting, audio, video, and rigging systems • Ensure compliance with Manitoba safety standards and training

Requirements: • 3-5+ years of experience in live events and technical management • Strong depth of knowledge in at least one technical discipline • Calm problem solver with excellent communication skills • Safety-focused approach within all operations • Hands-on operational involvement as necessary
