Job description

Bottling Line Operator

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia

Winemaking in some major regions of the world can be an ‘industrial’ undertaking, but for us here at Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, winemaking is an ‘artform’. Each vintage is the result of a creative process, backed by science and the result of hundreds of years of learning, guided by the hands of highly skilled and passionate experts who need to anticipate and adapt to the specific differences of each and every vintage. We are artisans, crafting wines in one of the smallest wine regions in the world, working to define the Okanagan and put our region on the world stage.

The Role

Our mobile bottling line was custom made to accommodate several different bottling arrangements and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and technical capabilities.

We are seeking a full-time Bottling Line Operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced bottling and packaging equipment, ensuring the highest quality standards for our premium wines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate advanced bottling and packaging equipment with precision and efficiency
  • Conduct continuous quality checks on bottle integrity, label application, fill levels, and closures to ensure premium standards
  • Perform detailed line setups, changeovers, and preparations to maintain optimal production performance
  • Follow all Food Safety, GMP, and workplace safety standards to ensure a compliant and clean production environment
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot issues to support continuous operational improvements
  • Manage packaging components and complete work orders efficiently
  • Support depalletizing, case packing, and automated palletizing systems
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and consistent bottling operations
  • Contribute to maintaining a high-performing, quality-focused production environment
  • Participate in additional duties and special projects as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education, certification, or trade designation is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in industrial or automated equipment
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, or automation systems is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in winery, food & beverage, or manufacturing environments is highly valued
  • Forklift certification is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexible and able to work extended hours, overtime, and during peak bottling seasons as needed
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required
