As the Accommodations Supervisor at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, you’ll lead the team responsible for keeping our Slopeside Accommodations sparkling clean, organized, and welcoming for guests and staff alike.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the housekeeping department and ensure high cleaning standards are consistently met while operating a highly functional, organized, and efficient department. From coordinating daily operations and supporting your team to ensuring ALL daily duties are completed, you are the driving force behind creating a warm, relaxing environment that feels like home — just with better views.
From fluffing pillows to managing après-ski messes, your leadership and attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional guest experience every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train and manage all housekeeping staff as well as Team Leaders
- Schedule staff while monitoring hours/overtime, ensuring appropriate number of staff on shift based on occupancy
- Co-ordinate laundry pick up/delivery
- Maintain and order inventory – cleaning supplies and in room inventory ensuring it is put away when it arrives.
- Communicate with Accommodation’s Manager the requirements for linens, pillows, and larger in-room items such as hideabeds, blinds, other furniture.
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned to department standards and updated on the computer
- Clean rooms when necessary
- Co-ordinate and execute annual cleaning & steam cleaning of carpets
- Ensure all damages to rooms are reported to Accommodation’s Manager.
- Become fluent with each owner’s special requirements and each suite’s idiosyncrasies
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety policies and standards are met within the housekeeping department, and act as departmental representative on committee
- Ensure that all staff areas are clean (Fridge, garbage, recycling, linens, vacuum, dishes, bathrooms, floors, 106, office)
- Lost & Found (ensure all items left in rooms are labeled, documented, and stored in an appropriate place)
- Master keys are all returned at the end of the day
- Ensure that Team Leaders and Housekeepers are adhering to Job Descriptions and completing daily tasks
- Adhere to departmental policies and standards of conduct
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while fostering good team morale
- Other housekeeping related tasks may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- A positive attitude and a love for keeping things clean and cozy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina-you’ll be on your feet and moving all day!
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous housekeeping experience is a bonus, but we’re happy to train the right person!
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A sense of humor and a love for mountain life—because we work hard and play harder!
- Applicants must have access to consistent and reliable transportation to commute to our mountain ski resort location.
