• Pay or shift range: $35.91 CAD to $44.01 CAD. The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long‑life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the successful candidate must have the ability to lead the mine crew loading rounds with the McLean Amex loader.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install ground support as per company standard
• Install and maintain services
• Must be able to perform pre‑operational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner
• All other duties, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Accreditation of basic common core
• Accreditation of specialty common core
• Self‑motivated, ability to work alone.
• Strong safety focus
• 3‑5 years plus underground mining experience
• Preferred candidates will be proficient in development round loading and blasting.
• Ability to mark faces will be seen as an asset.
• Preferred candidates will be proficient in the installation of ground support with conventional stopper/services, pipe, vent and jackleg.

Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off – 10 hours
