We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist for a well-established Military Defence manufacturing facility in Ingersoll, ON.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing professional with strong CNC programming, machining, tooling, and process improvement experience who enjoys working in a precision‑driven environment.
Shift: Monday to Friday; 3-shift biweekly rotation
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 per year + Benefits + RRSP + Bonus Potential
Key Responsibilities
Program and optimize CNC machining processes for mills, lathes, and multi‑axis equipment
Develop tooling, fixtures, gauging, and machining solutions using GD&T principles
Support manufacturing process improvements, cycle‑time reduction, and troubleshooting activities
Create and maintain SOPs, APQP documentation, ITPs, and manufacturing process documentation
Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities
Assist with process validation, setup optimization, and production readiness
Qualifications
3‑Year Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
7–10+ years of machining and/or manufacturing engineering experience
Strong CNC programming experience using Mastercam or similar CAM software
Experience with Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, Siemens, or similar controls
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, fixturing, and GD&T
Experience with precision manufacturing environments such as defence, aerospace, automotive, or heavy machining
Hands‑on troubleshooting and shop‑floor support experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Multi‑axis machining experience
CMM/metrology exposure
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Automation or robotics exposure
