Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Project Manager to lead the successful planning and delivery of capital and closure projects from initiation through completion for our client in Kitimat, BC. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven track record managing large-scale industrial projects. In this position you will work a Monday to Friday schedule and play a key role in delivering projects safely, on budget, and on schedule. Ideal for independent contractors.
  • Pay Rate: IC:$ 95.00/hour
  • Location: Kitimat, BC
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end project execution aligned with approved scope, budget, and timelines
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and key metrics
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and consultants
  • Support project teams with technical guidance and decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure successful delivery
  • Resolve project challenges and delivery issues proactively
  • Support vendor/consultant sourcing and contract management
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) in British Columbia (EITs with strong experience considered)
  • 15+ years of experience in construction or industrial environments
  • Proven experience managing $20M+ multi-discipline projects
  • Strong background in capital brownfield projects (concept to close-out)
  • Solid understanding of project controls, reporting, and risk management
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and site leadership experience
  • PMP or formal project management training is an asset
  • Familiarity with client project management frameworks is advantageous
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
