About The Opportunity The Technical Writer, Credit Risk Documentation is an individual with quantitative fluency who works hands‑on with modelers, analysts and reporting teams to draft, review and elevate complex technical materials. This role leads the production of high‑quality, audit‑ready technical documentation that meets enterprise‑wide governance, risk and regulatory documentation requirements.

In This Role, You Will

Lead cross‑functional technical documentation efforts across Modeling, Analytics and Reporting teams to produce high‑quality, audit‑ready documentation.

Establish and maintain end‑to‑end documentation traceability, and enable documentation compliance with governance and risk frameworks, including Model Risk Governance, Data Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, EUC governance and other regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in documentation practices, developing templates and guidance materials, coaching technical teams on structured writing and promoting scalable, consistent documentation standards across Risk Analytics and Reporting.

Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews, preparing documentation packages, coordinating responses to findings and strengthening defensibility of models, analytics processes and EUC environments.

Essential Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline – Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied mathematics, Statistics or Engineering is preferred. A degree in English, Social Sciences or Business Administration will be considered if the candidate has a demonstrable quantitative skill set.

At least 3 years of experience in risk analytics, quantitative modelling or financial reporting roles with demonstrable involvement in technical documentation, governance compliance or audit support.

Previous experience working with SAS or SQL.

Demonstrated expertise in technical writing and editorial review, with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear, structured and defensible documentation.

Excellent understanding of quantitative models, analytics workflows, reporting processes and End User Computing (EUC) environments.

Strong knowledge of governance requirements across Model Risk Management, Data Governance, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk Management and EUC governance.

Previous exposure to internal and external audit engagements and regulatory reviews, including preparation of documentation and remediation support.

Good analytical mindset, attention to detail and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with quantitative professionals, risk stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline – Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.

Experience within a regulated financial institution, including familiarity with capital models, stress testing, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk or enterprise risk frameworks.
