Job descriptionPosition Overview Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a results‑driven Partner Account Manager (PAM) to accelerate co‑sell motions with global system integrators (GSIs) across the Canadian public sector. The role serves as primary relationship owner between AWS and strategic GSI partners, driving joint pipeline development, co‑selling activities, and revenue growth for government, healthcare, and education customers.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with AWS Account Executives, Solution Architects, Industry/Technology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Partner Marketing to develop and drive new AWS revenue opportunities.
Deliver revenue growth and overall end‑customer adoption for strategic initiatives.
Cultivate sales and partner relationships, and execute sales campaigns with the long‑term interests of AWS, the GSI partner, and the end‑user customer at the forefront.
Advise on AWS investments, industry prioritization, and strategic initiatives based on market growth potential.
Use AWS mechanisms for achieving sales results, iterate improvements, and lead an extended team to deliver results in a space that operates like a start‑up.
Create and execute Joint Partner Sales Plans to accelerate AWS revenue, target new markets, and ensure alignment with AWS strategic direction.
Communicate to AWS Partner teams, field sales, solutions architects, business development, and others as needed on partner offering capabilities and successes.
Prepare and give periodic business reviews to the AWS senior management team.
A Day in the Life The Partner Account Manager is an individual contributor role but will be responsible for regional business leadership with a top GSI partner of the AWS Canada Public Sector business. The role defines a CxO relationship strategy, engages with AWS senior leaders for executive sponsorship, coordinates executive business reviews, and develops sales opportunities for partner offerings and solutions. It builds and maintains key relationships, advances key sales opportunities, and works with a global team of Partner Managers to manage a sales pipeline and deliver results.
About The Team The Canada Public Sector Partner Sales team is responsible for driving AWS adoption across healthcare, education, and government customers through strategic partner relationships. The team works with the world's largest system integrators and consulting firms to deliver transformative cloud solutions that improve citizen services, advance health outcomes, and modernize public institutions.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management experience
Experience working with systems integrators and consulting companies to achieve sales
Experience selling cloud solutions
Demonstrated track record of driving measurable revenue growth through partner co‑sell motions
Experience developing and executing joint business plans with strategic partners
Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience working at or with GSIs to drive cloud adoption
Proficiency in French
Benefits Base salary range: CAN, ON, Ottawa – 123,600.00 – 206,300.00 CAD annually; CAN, ON, Toronto – 123,600.00 – 206,300.00 CAD annually. Total compensation may include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives.
