Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Junior Planner to join our growing Land Use Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a supportive and dynamic team environment. Their planning team is small, tight-knit, and highly collaborative. They work with both private development clients and municipalities, supporting planning approvals and policy development. They pride ourselves on mentorship, teamwork, and delivering strong results for our clients. Required Skills & Experience

Assist in reviewing and processing planning applications, including plans of subdivision, site plans, rezoning, and severances Support the preparation of planning reports and policy documents Assist with the review and interpretation of planning policy under the guidance of senior staff Participate in public meetings, open houses, committee meetings, and council presentations Collaborate closely with senior planners and the planning technician on active projects Contribute to both private development and municipal planning work as needed Health Benefits

Medical, dental, critical illness, long term disability, RSP matching (no short term disability) After 3 months it kicks in, RSP matching after a year but can open before (% of annual salary that matching portion is) starts at 3% and increasing over time and maxes out at 5-6%. Ongoing Education

Commitment to ongoing training and education (Each person has a budgeted amount). Certain roles will need to do training and the company will provide and they can have their choice to do those. Lunch and Learn

(1 per month) work related or related to benefits or something in the community. Vacation

3+ weeks off, 10 days allotted to time off- 2 paid emergency days, 8 paid sick days, flexible with work arrangements (hybrid policy is 2 days at home max, 3 days in office) Core Hours

Monday-Thursday 9-3:30 and Friday 9-1 (40 hour work week)- those hours don't add up can work around those as well, Social Committee

Offers activities that aren't just internal, but external (in the community).
