AGS is looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic organization.
Job Summary Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Junior Quality Engineer is responsible for providing quality engineer services to internal and external customers and for assisting in maintaining quality standards in accordance with customer requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Technical System and Procedures to be compliant with ISO / IATF 16949, BIQS and all customer specific processes as required.
Comply with all Company safety policies, procedures and rules.
Participate and lead as required in the sample submission process (PPAP).
Support PPAP package to customer for approval and review and assist in the approval of supplier PPAP submissions.
Participate in the development and maintenance of the database of Process Flow Charts, PFMEA's and produce Control Plans.
Create/revise inspection sheets and ensure that they meet customer requirements.
Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers as required.
Participate in process improvement activities and problem‑solving activities.
Initiate internal NCR's and participate in NCR problem‑solving teams and has responsibility to oversee the corrective action system.
Respond and react to internal and external customer quality concerns.
Responsible to adhere to the 5S system.
Assist when required in the solution of shop floor problems.
Participate in and verification of measurement systems to suit specific product requirements.
Participate in Engineering changes and deviations affecting current production products.
Initiate new and additional inspection procedures and processes and train personnel on inspection methods.
Assist in visual aids (samples). Lead the upkeep for master sample log and room.
Interact with customer to help reduce and eliminate PPM's including review of accumulations prior to PPM reporting.
Ensure the standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certified Quality Technician / Engineer or a minimum of two (2) years Quality Assurance experience in automotive or equivalent (i.e.: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA/Gage R&R).
Experience in problem solving / process improvement techniques would be an asset.
Knowledge of Quality Management System - IATF 16949 standard.

Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 per year
