Job descriptionAs a member of the IT Technical Support Team, the Infrastructure and Virtualization Technical Analyst primarily supports and maintains the organization's existing infrastructure, while also contributing to key initiatives related to the New South Niagara Hospital site. This role is responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining physical and virtual servers, supporting vendor-led installations, assisting with server patching and security remediation, and proactively monitoring server performance and capacity. The analyst investigates and resolves server- and application-related incidents and administers enterprise storage environments, including SAN, NFS, vSAN, object-based storage, and backup systems. The role also supports Azure infrastructure services and plays a key role in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution. In addition, this position participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The analyst serves as a point of escalation and provides mentorship to the Service Desk team and participates in the on‑call rotation. QUALIFICATIONS
College Diploma in Computer Technology, University Degree in Computer Science, or 5-10 years of equivalent related experience Strong experience with VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x; VCP preferred & Citrix XenServer Strong knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including EverPure Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, PowerScale, and VMware vSAN Strong experience supporting Windows Server 2016-2025; Microsoft Certifications considered an asset Experience supporting Azure infrastructure, hybrid environments, backup systems, and disaster recovery/business continuity Additional certifications such as Nutanix NCP and ITIL considered an asset Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and hardware solutions Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with diverse affected parties Previous Healthcare IT experience considered an asset Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Questions, quoting the job posting number, may be directed to hrrecruit@niagarahealth.on.ca How to Apply
