Frontier Lithium is seeking a Manager, Environment & Community Relations to lead environmental, permitting, ESG, and community engagement initiatives as the company advances its lithium development projects in Northern Ontario.
Reporting to the Vice President, Sustainability, this role will support responsible project development by coordinating environmental studies, regulatory processes, sustainability reporting, and meaningful engagement with local and Indigenous communities.
This position plays a key role in supporting project approvals, environmental compliance, transparent stakeholder communication, and long‑term regional value creation.
Major Responsibilities
Lead environmental baseline and impact study coordination for the PAK Lithium Project and associated developments.
Support the preparation and submission of Environmental Assessments and permitting documentation.
Coordinate environmental consultants, technical experts, and internal teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, Indigenous governments, organizations, and stakeholders.
Support transparent communication around project milestones, permitting activities, consultation processes, and environmental performance.
ESG and Compliance Reporting
Develop and manage ESG reporting metrics and sustainability dashboards for internal and external use.
Coordinate preparation of environmental and social reports for regulatory agencies, investors, and community partners.
Support alignment of ESG practices with international standards (e.g., GRI, TSM, UN SDGs).
Advisemanagement on emerging sustainability trends and stakeholder expectations.
Support environmental and social reporting for regulators, investors, community partners, and internal leadership.
Promote environmental awareness, cultural sensitivity, accountability, and responsible development across teams and contractors.
Contribute to sustainability policies, procedures, consultation records, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Natural Resources Management, or a related discipline.
10+ years of experience in environmental management, permitting, community relations, Indigenous engagement, ESG, or sustainability.
Experience within mining, energy, infrastructure, natural resources, or project development.
Demonstrated understanding of provincial and federal permitting processes.
Strong knowledge of Indigenous consultation frameworks, community engagement practices, and cultural awareness.
Experience preparing environmental, ESG, sustainability, or feasibility-related reports.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, organizational, and presentation skills.
You Must Also Have
Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a field and office-based project environment.
Ability to work effectively with technical, legal, communications, regulatory, and leadership teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, and reports.
Professional judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive environmental, regulatory, community, or stakeholder information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

Compensation
Total Target Compensation: $145,000 – $200,000+
